Bit Bash

Bit Bash is an interactive arts festival in Chicago, showcasing an international collection of lesser known but culturally significant video games.

Bit Bash was established to further the culture of independent game development in Chicago by hosting larger, public-facing events. Its goal is to promote games that either can’t be played at home, have unique controllers or experiences, or promote community or an artistic statement.

C2E2

C2E2 stands for the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo. It’s the largest pop culture convention in the Midwest. C2E2 espouses that all nerds need a place to call home. Whether you’re a fan of comic books, cosplay, video games, anime, TV shows, movies, books, wrestling, comedy, or anything else – C2E2 is your home for good and geeky times.

Progression Mechanics

Progression Mechanics is a one day academic seminar hosted by Northwestern University dedicated to discussing where games are coming from, and where they are going.

Chicago Video Game Law Summit

The Chicago Video Game Law Summit is an annual conference held at the Chicago Bar Association dedicated to academic panels and discussion of the hottest legal issues that pertain to the video game industry. Organized by Ross A. Hersemann of Loading Law, the Summit strives to create a dialogue between industry professionals with creative developers to further the progression of study in the field.

GDEX

GDEX is the convention dedicated to a love of games and creative technology, located in Columbus, Ohio.  GDEX features a weekend expo showcase, combined with presentation sessions, artist alleys, raffles, tournaments, and Charity events. The GDEX expo is a curated showcase of some of the most exciting up and coming developers so that you can see the latest games before anyone else!

GDEX started in 2013 as a community event to bring together Ohio game developers to Connect with each other, Share their projects and technologies, and Learn from each other as well as industry professionals. It has since grown into the Premier event of its kind in the Midwest, drawing an audience from across the country with unrivaled quality in educational sessions and opportunities for individuals and small businesses to accelerate their growth. There truly is no other event like GDEX in the Midwest, and we are proud to be a part of making the community and industry in the area.

Midwest Gaming Classic

The Midwest Gaming Classic is a trade show featuring 150,000+ square feet of retro and modern home video game consoles, pinball machines, arcade video games, table top RPGs, computers, table top board games, crane games, collectible card games, air hockey, and that’s just the start!

The Midwest Gaming Classic is about celebrating gaming, trying new things, learning about the gaming hobby, about meeting others who share the love of gaming, and having fun doing it!

No matter if you have one console and a handful of games or thousands of games in every room of your house, you’ll find something to celebrate at MGC!

PixelPop Festival

Since its inaugural event in 2014, PixelPop Festival has asserted its identity as an intimate and impactful game festival that celebrates a wide range of games and interactive experiences. PixelPop Festival’s mission is to encourage and empower attendees from all backgrounds and experience levels to develop new skills, explore different methods, and cultivate relationships with other creators and players.

Vector

Vector is a game conference held at Eastern Kentucky University on April 26-27, 2019 in collaboration with the EKU Gaming Institute and RunJumpDev,. Vector is a celebration of local developers, a well as a chance to network with leaders and peers in the field of game design and development.

Vector features networking, talks from industry leaders, workshops and round table discussions.
